The wisdom of the ancients

Extra Body Cream

Collagen is a fibrous protein composed of amino acids, essential for the formation of tissues in humans and mammals. As the etymology of the term suggests (“collagen” means to produce/generate glue), it is a protein responsible for shaping, elasticity, tone, and hydration of the skin and animal fur.

In addition to collagen, another vital element for the beauty and health of the skin and, consequently, the fur of our animals is keratin, a protein responsible for structuring animal fur. Just as with human hair, the bonds of keratin chains (called “sulfur bridges”) are responsible for the smooth, wavy, or curly appearance of the fur. Keratin in the fur also provides volume, strength, and elasticity.

Proper grooming not only includes cleaning the fur with a neutral pH shampoo but also caring for your four-legged friend’s mane in a way that nourishes and supports its texture. Due to pollution, aging, and dermatological issues, the fur can sometimes appear damaged and fragile. In other words, if you want your pet’s fur to remain healthy and avoid excessive oily hydration, an ideal solution is a hydrating balm that both nourishes and doesn’t weigh it down.

Extra Body Cream is an instant balm, a volume concentrate, perfect for restructuring the fibers of a dog and cat’s fur, providing shine and elasticity. Regular use of this conditioner increases fur thickness without adding weight, moisturizes the fur, giving it immediate elasticity, vitality, radiance, and texture. Its formula consists of amino acids, hydrating oils, collagen, keratin, and two natural but highly beneficial elements: grape juice and argan oil.

Thanks to the regenerative and vitamin-rich properties of grape juice in Extra Body Cream, the fur benefits from a strong antioxidant effect that inherits the ancient wisdom of cosmetics. Since ancient times, grapes have symbolized knowledge, youth, eternal life, birth, and rebirth. For instance, Egyptian women (and even French noblewomen of the 19th century) knew about the benefits of grapes and used wine to wash their faces or bodies to achieve smooth and soft skin. Grapes were so important for ancient cosmetics that a team of physicians hired by the rulers of Byzantium recommended using grapes for hair well-being, a mix of fig leaves, wild white vine leaves, pumice stone, and grape juice.

Similarly, argan oil, also present in Extra Body Cream, holds the secret of Eastern tradition. Known as the “liquid gold of the desert,” argan oil has been considered an elixir of long life since the time of Cleopatra. Massaged into the skin, hair, and nails, it nourishes, moisturizes, protects, and regenerates.

Extra Body Cream inherits this ancient wisdom, enriching it with new natural ingredients like sunflower oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and an easy and quick application method. Simply mix a spoonful of Extra Body Cream with half a liter of warm water to obtain a mixture to be applied directly to clean fur as a balm, without a specific waiting time. Alternatively, Extra Body Cream can also be used as an excellent pre-treatment for scissor or clipper cutting.

Thanks to Extra Body Cream, the fur becomes conditioned, hydrated, restructured, healthy, voluminous, and soft to the touch. With this cutting-edge balm, your pet’s hair will be rich and beautiful.
